Have you ever imagine a militarised zone I am sure the image come in your mind may be of SYRIA , AFGHANISTAN & IRAN. But Kashmir is father of all these .
Their are about 4,70,000 active security personnel including that the State Police force in 2017-18. Not only to Protect border from Pakistan but for fighting biggest threat than it i.e. militants.
The U.S. military counterinsurgency doctrine based on its expertise's in Afghanistan & Iraq recommended a force level of 20 security personal for every thousands local people in the operation zone.
But in Jammu &Kashmir the number raised to 28.5 to 30 soldiers respectively.
In my view Kashmir became the centre of a love triangle between India and Pakistan without knowing the view of Kashmir.
Their are about 41,500 people died in Kashmir on last 29 year (1990 to 2019) including civilians , average is about 4 person per day.
Let move back in 14th century, At that time there was a King named Jammu , during hunting he reached to a river bank there he saw one Lion was drinking water with a Dear both drunk water and move to their own way .The king & his minister were surprised to see this.
The king though that this place is fill with Peace and dignity and He decided to built a fort and settle down here. Then a city Jammu was settle on the bank of river Tawi and later know as Jammu Tawi
But this city has lost its peace in last few decades in between the sound of rifle, army trucks & ever Friday protect etc.
Beside Lion and dear Human are ready to kill human.
The main reason behind the condition of the Jammu&Kashmir is that not the Local government and not the Pakistan interest in people of Kashmir .The corrupt govt. interested in money and Pakistan is interested in only piece of land because the INDUS river and its tributaries arise or move through Kashmir valley and it is Only Source of fresh water in Pakistan.
The condition started becoming worst after the Assembly election of March 1987. Their was a report of corruption in that election.
And it started declined and become more than worst. And that day come Shri Tika Lal Taploo, a Kashmiri Pandit and prominent advocate was murdered on broad day light of 14th Sep, 1989 , while he was in his way to court. Govt. Was not able to find the murderer after that almost daily one Kashmir Pandit was being murdered.
All limits were crossed when the Judge who pronounced death sentence to J.K.L.F. founder Maqbool Bhat, Pandit Neelkanth Ganjoo were another, Kashmiri Pandit was also killed.
And the condition become worst in 19th Jan, 1990 . Through poster and loudspeaker Kashmiri Pandit were told to leave Kashmir with immediate effect. According to the Indian govt. more than 6,00,000 Kashmiri Pandit and Sikh were being forced out of Kashmir and they become refuge in there own country and from that day there conditions become pathetic.
Today there are only 2,764 Hindus left in Kashmir.
The bitter truth is that the administration of Rajive Gandhi did not take any action to stop the force EXODUS . Only refuge camps were built for the Kashmiri Pandit as if leaving the valley was the only option left for them.
